Can you dance a foxtrot to Let's Stay Together by Al Green?

Everything I have read says that you should dance a rumba to Let's Stay Together, but I have read that you can often dance foxtrots instead of rumbas. I don't know much about ballroom dancing, but we know how to foxtrot and don't know how to rumba.
